If I was Mako i would try to kill Tupa with the harpoon, but once i kill him i will drag him out of the lagoon and over to the reef. to show all the people. after that My mom and I will go on a expedition to the jungle to collect more fruit because when i was fitting Tupa all the fruit went into the water. After we are done collecting all the fruit we go home and eat dinner.

If I went on a little expedition like Mako, I don't think I would be as brave as he was when he killed Tupa. If I were to see Tupa in the lagoon, I wouldn't kill him, I would just row my canoe as fast as I could all the way back home. I would then tell my mom that I saw Tupa and was too frightened to get bananas.
But if I were brave, I would do the same as Mako did (but I would take more weapons just in case).

  3. I would have prepared with more harpoons and spears. Every day I would search the lagoon and the reefs. Once a week I would make an expedition at night. Gazing at the phosphorus for any movement. Once I found tupa would drive my spear through the sharks skull. Tupa won't hurt any one els. There will be no more fear in the town.

  4. If I were Mako, I know I would do completly different things that what Mako would do. For example, if my mom asked me to get bananas from the island I would not go alone. Although I have a harpoon and a banana knife I still do not think that you should go alone on the lagoon. But going on a small expadition would be kinda fun. While your on the island I would also think that if someone is with you don't let them walk away and keep them right next to you so you don't loose them. Plus I would be prepared so I don't have to waste time making a net out of leaves. And I would not want to be still on the island when it gets dark because I do not know where Tupa is and if Tupa will attack me as soon as I get in the canoe. But if I saw Tupa in the water I would try to scram for help and through my harpoon at him or her and paddle as fast as I can.

  6. If I was Mako I would not have gone to the reef to find Tupa. But if i would have gone i would of taken much more than a harpoon.I would not have gone on an expedition just to find a shark.I would not even wanted to listen to the stories of the Ghost of the Lagoon.I would of been scared to go into the dark water that was alive with phosphorus.

If I were in Makos place while he was in the lagoon and saw Tupa, my heart would be beating so fast, I would have a heart attack right there in the canoe because I would be so scared of watching Tupa circling me.

  8. If I was Mako I would throw a harpoon at him, punch Tuba and pull the harpoon back out then repeat what's above until I am completely sure that Tuba was dead and I would paddle away in pride.

  9. If I were Mako, I would be very afraid. I mean, it would be scary to go on an expedition to attempt to kill Tupa, the same creature that killed his own father. On my way to the lagoon I might even regret going to kill Tupa, and might even throw my very own harpoon into the water. Though hopefully, at the last moment I would be under the pressure and excitement of the risk, danger, and fear that I would quickly regret my thoughts of fear and end the conflict of Tupa the shark!

  11. If I was in Mako's situation I would have took my harpoon and tried to kill Tupa (the shark) while trying to go to the lagoon or at least the reef. ........ If I were Mako, before I took my expedition I would prepare/ pack some weapons just in case Tupa would attack, I would be ready

  13. If I were Mako I would go to the banana island everyday! Haveing so much fun, eating fruit playing with Aka! I would sail on my canoe visiting every reef, every island there is, going on overnight expaditions! Then at night I would sail out to watch the phosphorus! I'd have the best life there is to live! Then one night I would see the ghost of the lagoon! Tupa. When afa goes ovrbord I'd reach out into the water and grab him, then I would take my harpoon, and stab tupa again and again until he was dread! Then I would take him back to Bora Bora to reisive my award. I would name all my land Tupa No More, and my sailing bout S.S slaying Tupa! Haha! Then I would live hapily ever after!!

  15. If I was Mako and i would take the bananas and then sit on my boat and look for a gray white fin and practice and make more sharp harpoons and if i saw Tupa then i will kill Tupa in both eyes, fin, tail, and in the gills. And i would bring the shark for proof that i did kill the Ghost of the Lagoon!! And if i had 30 acres of land i would maybe sell a book about how i killed Tupa and buy sailing objects that save me or any other people from any kind of harm.

If I was Mako I would be scared. I wouldn’t want to go canoeing again. Especially when Mako’s grandfather tells stories about tupa in the lagoon. He said that Tupa is usually in the lagoon. But is sometimes he is in the reefs. If I was mako I would just try to scare it by screaming at the top of my lungs or just try to get attention for someone to save me. But if I can’t screen I would try to paddle away as fast as I can. I wouldn’t even think about trying to kill tupa.

If I was Mako I would be so scared. I wouldn't go cannoeing again. Epecially when mako's grandfather tells stories about Tupa. He said that Tupa is sometimes in the reefs. But his home is in the lagoon. He saw him in the reefs when he was fishing once.If I was Mako I would just try as hard as I can to scream as loud as I can. But if I can't scream loud enough, then I would try to paddle as fast as i can to get to land. I would never try to kill him. not even athought about that.

If I was Mako I would have prepared myself better by I would sharpen my spear, ready my nets, build a bigger canoe, and bring another person with me to the lagoon to face the phosphorus covered shark called Tupa.

If I were Mako, and I would slay the mighty Tupa the shark, I would prepare for the fight. I would set traps, practice throwing my spear, and get as many people as I can to help me.

If I were Mako and was coming back from my expedition to get bananas from the island in the lagoon to bring home and while heading home at night saw the fin of Tupa heading straight towards me, I would have stood up to him. I would have revenge for my fathers death. I would fight him with my harpoon with all of my strength. After I killed him I would drag him from his home in the reef with glowing phosphorus to the beach of Bora Bora, to claim my reward and my revenge, for killing Tupa.

If I were in Mako's position, I would try to kill Tupa because the reward is worth it and he killed Mako's father. I would kill him by getting a harpoon and shooting him. I would hide near a reef for cover in the night time except the phospurus lights up the lagoon.

If I were mako I would have fought tupa in the lagoon in the morning than in the night. And I would probably practice using the harpoon and watch out for reefs. It would be an expedition to kill tupa and to see phosphorus.

  28. If i was in Mako's position i wouldnt fight tupa until i new that she was not looking straight at me.I wont be next to the reef and get a harpoon. My expedition will be when i finally achieve my goal in killing tupa.

  29. If I were Mako, I would DEFINITELY go on an expedition to go kill Tupa with my harpoon, because I would be VERY devestated if my father died by Tupa, so I would hunt Tupa. Right when I see the phosphorus on his fin, I would hurt him. (REALLY BADLY!!!) I would show and tell all of my family members. I would also leave Tupa's body out for King Opu Nui on the sand of the lagoon - not the reef. After that, I would probably be exhausted, so I would go to sleep after that. :)

  32. If I were Mako, I would try to avoid the situation all together. I wouldn't have stopped to get the oranges because I would not want to travel back to the village when it was dark.

If I were Mako, I would propably be too afraid to fight Tupa, so I would just throw my harpoon at him and ther row like mad! But, if Afa was at stake, I would to whatever it took to save my dog, even if it cost me my life!
